Normalement, on dit IN the door, c'est-à-dire in the lock (dans la serrure).
I went to the gym on Sunday.
I was at the gym on Sunday.
Est-ce que je peux dire :
I went at the gym on Sunday
I was to the gym on Sunday
Non, "at" implique une position sans mouvement, "to un déplacement". Donc, toujours to be AT et to go TO.
